IMA-METAV SA at a glance

IMA-METAV is an aircraft metallurgy profiled society having as main products:metallic materials (special steels and Ni and Co basedsuperalloys), castings (of gray, nodular and siliceous cast iron and Cr, Ni and Mo high alloyed cast iron; of medium and high alloyed carbon steels, including refractory and stainless steel; and of aluminum alloys), forgings , pressed and sintered metal powders components, machined parts, brake systems for aircraft and tanks. Its specific activities are medium and small series products, end prototypes characterized by a high level of technicality and complexity, for the aviation, military, machine and energy industries.

IMA-METAV SA has the entire facilities to manufacture the range of high complexity and accuracy components-small series-and prototypes for the army, automotive industry and energetics.

Our company is a joint-stock SME, founded in 2004, by taking over the production capability and laboratories from METAV SA.

Currently,we have 4 production divisions(Foundry,Investment Forge,Machining and Steel Shop),Assurance Quality and Checking Laboratory, Administrative Office.

Our Research Department, founded in 2006, is interested to develop R&D activities, counseling and,also,to supply services for conventional and non-conventional technologiesregarding manufacturing of advanced materials(metallic materials,ceramics and composites).The department target is to grow the knowledge and economic competitiveness for a long period of time using the proper human resources.
